Did you know Scotland is Europe's #1 wildlife-watching destination?

You'll see how it is when you join Natural Habitat Adventures nature adventure to Scotland's Wild Highlands & Islands. In the rugged northern high country Natural Habitat looks for red deer, pine marten, badger and Scottish wildcat in stands of ancient Caledonian pine forest... Then, search the seas for dolphins, porpoises, seals, otters and minke whales as we cruise the storied isles of the Hebrides.

Birdlife is incredible, especially the millions of seabirds that nest in Europe's largest breeding colonies. From puffins and shags to guillemots and razorbills -- it can get pretty noisy along those sheer cliffs! We even make a rare journey by boat all the way to St. Kilda to see the world's largest colony of northern gannets, with more than 60,000 pairs.

An exclusive feature of this trip is a full day at Aigas Field Center. Before setting out to explore the reserve, you will have a private meeting with the director, renowned Scottish naturalist Sir John Lister-Kaye, who shares his expertise on the natural history of the highlands, as well as the center's important conservation work.

Scotland's human history is impressive, too, and Natural Habitat Adventures makes sure you don't miss highlights like the 5,000-year-old Callanish Standing Stones, one of the most intact Neolithic stone circles in Europe. We'll also visit the tweed factory on the Isle of Harris, and there's a chance for an optional guided tour of Edinburgh Castle, too.
