Ritz Carlton Golf Resort Naples
TRIP TYPE: Family staycation in Naples.
ROOMS: Our room was what you would expect from a Ritz Carlton. Traditional decor with all the amenities you would need for both the kids and adults alike. The clothes line that was built into the shower was very handy for drying bathing suites after a full day of swimming. The cookies delivered to our room sure did surprise and delight! If you havent had a cookie here yet, these is the best (and biggest) cookies I have ever had.
FITNESS: We took advantage of their fitness center that has very nice state of the art equipment. My favorite was the steam room, perfect for post workout relaxation!
POOL: We spent the majority of our time at the beautiful resort pool. There were a good amount of kids there for a little summer break before school started back up again. Emma swam the entire length of the pool which blew us all away! She even got a major applause from several guests. There were cute little kid size lounge chairs by the shallow part of the pool, also a great swim area for small toddlers. Next to the pool was a little playground and sand box which was fun for the kids to go back and forth on their own. We all loved the little treats delivered to the pool like little samples of milkshakes and swedish fish!
BEACH: While there is no beach at this property their sister property 5 minutes away has a beautiful beach! There is complimentary shuttle service between the two hotels for guests who want to use the Ritz facilities at the beach or share dining privileges. While I am a little biased, I feel the beaches in Naples are one of the best in the world.
RESTAURANTS: Lemonia serves breakfast and dinner however we only had the chance to do breakfast there. The have a buffet served daily which is complimentary for all Jen Mitchell Travel clients as a Virtuoso amenity. The buffet has an egg and waffle station which is always a favorite of mine. We enjoyed dinner at the Bella Vista Lounge and it was really very good and our server was extremely good. Before dinner we all gathered at the lounge for some live piano music and conversation. The kids even took to the "dance floor" which was surprisingly entertaining for everyone.
KIDS: The kids club at this Ritz was not a drop off variety, however it was a great play area for parents/nannies to join their kids to escape the heat outside or as a pre-dinner activity. They had endless activities such as movies, jewelry making, coloring, legos, and the kid’s didn’t want to leave. Down the hall from the kids club there was a video game room perfect for teens.
SERVICE: When we walked into the Ritz we were greeted by the friendliest staff who had stuffed animals in their arms for Emma and Sam. This was quite a surprise and made us really feel like a true VIP.
